Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Academic Literacy/Language and Communication Skills
The University of Malawi invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the tenured position on contract in the Department of Academic Skills and Careers (formerly Language and Communication Skills) in the School of Arts, Communication and Design
Qualifications
Applicants should possess at least a minimum of a Masters Degree in Applied Linguistics/English Language Teaching such as Teaching English as a Foreign Language/Teaching English as a Second Language/English for Specific Purposes/English for Academic Purposes or any related discipline with at least a credit at both Bachelors and Masters’ degree level. These should be from an institution of higher learning accredited by the National Council of Higher Education.
Duties and Responsibilities

To deliver lectures and tutorial instructions;

To set, administer, and mark continuous assessment examinations;

To set, mark end of semester examinations, and submit grades timely to the Head of Department.

To contribute to the growth of the department and the university through research and scholarly publications.
